Benefit of Cherry
Those little red spheres posses an incredible slew of healthy benefits that can reduce total cholesterol levels, lower blood sugar, cause less fat to be stored in the liver and limit levels of oxidative stress, according to researchers from the University of Michigan Heal System. Human studies are in the works, but this study, which was carried out on rats, led researchers to suggest that the beneficial effects were a result of antioxidant compounds known as anthocyanins - which are abundant in cherries.
